As far back as 2002, there were
over 2.7million multi-monitor computers in use. Due to
reduced prices of both LCDs and video cards, the use of dual
and triple screen desktops in business has become more
widespread. While there are several studies on the
productivity gains from using larger screens and
multi-monitor configurations, the last remaining problem is
dealing with the gaps between the screens and all the
clutter that multi-monitor systems produce.
The Radius320 has three video
inputs, one power supply and one stand. If
you want to hang it off your cube wall, we already use the
industry standard VESA mounting system, so you can attach it
to your existing mounting systems.
You now get to use your desktop
display just as you use your desk. On your desk, you
may have open a notepad, but when you read a report you move
the notepad to one side. Similarly with the Radius320,
you can now leave applications open,
moving them to the left or right screen as you focus on
something new. Alternatively you can spread out a
single application such as Word or Excel over all three
screens and use the full 50-inches and 5.76 million pixels
at your disposal.
How much can you
see on the Radius320? Well, take Word: you can view 5
pages at 100% zoom, 7 full pages and part of the next 7
pages at 75% zoom, then for finding something quickly take it
down to 50% zoom and review layouts for 22 pages.
