Seamless Display™, Ltd. Launches First Product Line
- Horizon320™ is World’s Highest Resolution 40-inch LCD Display System -
San Francisco, Calif. and Oxford, England – December 10th, 2003 – Seamless Display™ Ltd., a start-up innovator of multi-screen technology, announced today the launch of the Horizon320™, its first display screen product line. The Horizon320™ incorporates the company's patent-pending technology to produce an angled 40-inch viewing area with 5.76 million pixels.
“Seamless Display™ technology responds to the need to tile LCD screens without the annoying gaps between each screen,” said Dr. Duane Nash, CEO of Seamless Display™. “The Horizon320™ revolutionizes the multi-screen computing market. It combines high-resolution screens with an angled ergonomic design to allow the user full uninterrupted use of the entire 40-inch screen area.”
The Horizon320™ offers several unique benefits to the user.
Although the Horizon320™ was developed with military uses in mind, commercial applications include computer-aided design, video editing, gaming, public display and financial analysis.
Ted Furniss, a portfolio manager and certified financial analyst commented, “As a financial analyst, I value the ability to see a lot of information at once. When I fire up a spreadsheet on the Horizon320™, I can see over 60 columns at 100% zoom; on my regular desktop display I can only see 19 columns. The Horizon320™ will be an asset to anyone in the financial community.”
The Horizon320™ was built in collaboration with the military integrator LjTech of Poway, California. Said Jake Jacobs, CEO of LjTech, "We are very excited to work with Seamless Display™. For many years my customers have requested a method of seamlessly tiling LCDs. They need to use high-resolution LCD panels for displaying satellite and geographical information, but without gaps between each screen. Seamless Display™’s technology far exceeds their expectations.”
About Seamless Display™ Seamless Display™ Ltd. is a privately held company that develops and sells multi-screen technology eliminating the borders between adjacent LCD screens. The technology is ideal for desktop use such as mapping, CAD, financial analysis and simulation. In addition the technology can be applied to large area data walls such as those used in military and civilian command and control centers, and utility, telco and transportation operations rooms. The company was founded at Oxford University, and now has offices in London, England and San Francisco, Calif., USA, with representatives in New York and Tokyo. Seamless Display™’s technologies are available through a network of integrators and via technology licenses.
